I love how people say “Your guy is out there”, and describe him as a real person and then state “Oh we’re married and have kids together.” Doesn’t that just lend to the fact that the good ones are gay or taken? Or am I just being cynical? o.O

~ i’m just a poor boy, though my story’s seldom told….i have squandered my resistance for a pocketful of mumbled promises

I think sometimes “your guy” or “your girl” can be a real person if you’re only willing to wait on them. However, i have to be honest, i’m in a different situation: I know what God has promised me, and I’m sure that if i don’t wait on that, anyone else* will be but a shadow of what God had planned.*even the really sweet/hot/extremely-devoted-to-God ones

I didn’t mean it like that… I was trying to say I understand you frustrations with the Harding dating scene. After about a year there I stopped even bothering to try because I was sure there was no one there who fit with me. Then, during my senior year God brought me just the right guy at just the right time. It was a difficult thing to wait for but it makes sense in hindsight. God has your guy somwhere down the timeline of your life, and he may be in the most unlikely place.
